Have you ever looked around you and wondered where things came from? Then you’re in the right place. Ever Wondered…? explores the origins of everyday things like objects, songs, holidays and expressions. Each thing in our everyday lives is a small part of our history on earth and I have set out to explore it. Come with me into the history behind everyday life.
Posts are bi-weekly on Wednesdays. I chose Wednesdays because I found them to be the slow sad part of the week, almost like a second Monday. I wanted my posts to bring some happiness in the middle of a slow, or long work week.
My posts are based on the research I have done, but I still express my opinion in said posts. I keep most of my thoughts for the My Thoughts section of the posts, but it is sometimes necessary for me to share a though or two throughout the post.
This is not a religious blog however, I may sometimes find it appropriate to share my beliefs as part of my opinion on a subject. (So far this has not happened often). That being said, there are posts the reference Catholic beliefs, and they are not mine. I am not Catholic, but have used that information because it came up in my research.

My name is Kirsten Jerry. I graduated from Durham College’s Journalism – Web and Print program in June 2018. I love to read and more importantly I love to write. I grew up and live in Canada. My hopes for this blog are to keep it informative and fun. For earlier examples of my work click here.
